• What is hemodialysis?
  Hemodialysis is a therapy that filters waste, removes extra fluid and balances electrolytes. The blood is removed from the body and filtered through a man-made membrane called artificial kidney or dialyzer, and then the filtered blood is returned to the body.
• What is staff-assisted home hemodialysis?
  Home Hemodialysis is given in the patient’s home, patient’s room in a nursing home, assisted living facilities, or skilled nursing facilities, rendered by licensed dialysis nurses under the supervision of your preferred nephrologist therefore no training is required. Dialysis treatment is given three times a week over 3 to 4 hours in duration. Dialysis care and treatments are all inclusive with dietary counsel and social worker support. Monthly and mid-month blood samples are drawn and collected and sent to the laboratory from home
• Will my own nephrologist still take care of me?
  Yes, SINGULAR CARE advocates for continuity of care. SINGULAR CARE and your preferred nephrologist will work hand-in-hand to provide you with the best quality staff-assisted home hemodialysis can offer.
• Who will administer my treatment and who is part of my hemodialysis care?
  Our diverse team of health care professionals will provide your care working closely with your nephrologist. We will personalize your care by paying close attention to your specific needs. Your own dialysis nurse is our frontline health care team member administering your treatment. Your Dialysis Nurse will provide your dialysis treatment ALL the TIME and EVERY TIME.
• What about the equipment and supplies I need for my home hemodialysis?
  SINGULAR CARE will provide all necessary equipment and supplies for your staff-assisted home hemodialysis treatment. We have highly trained biomed and technicians that will set-up and maintain the equipment to ensure its optimum performance for quality care. The hemodialysis equipment will stay throughout the duration of your prescribed staff-assisted home hemodialysis treatment.
• What does my home need for home hemodialysis?
  We will have our biomed technician to do a walk through in your home and will work with you in the area where your staff-assisted in-home dialysis should take place. You will need a power supply, water supply and an area of approximately 40 cubic feet to store a month of nursing and dialysis supplies.
• Can I afford staff-assisted home hemodialysis?
  Staff-assisted home hemodialysis including equipment and supplies are covered by insurance. We provide assistance in securing approval for Medicare patients with secondary insurance and accept option for self-pay patients. Contact us @713-413-8881.
